Nami Iijima works as a food stylist in a wide variety of media, from commercials and advertisements to magazine columns and food props. Ms. Iijima has worked on the films Seagull Diner, Glasses, Tokyo Tower: Mom and Me and Sometimes Dad, and Pool, among many others. She has authored several books, including Breakfast Menu: 12 Delicious Scenes, and LIFE—Recipes to Celebrate Uneventful Days. Reel Cuisine is based on recipes that were serialized in AERA beginning August 2007.
